It is hard to overestimate the enormous impact that the Lucas critique and the problem of time inconsistency have had on the conduct of monetary policy over the past 40 years. In the 1970s, most central banks were under political control and obliged to follow more or less short-term oriented policies. During the 1990s and 2000s, the importance of credibility was increasingly appreciated and evidence mounted that operationally independent central banks with a clear mandate to maintain price stability delivered much better economic outcomes than those under direct government control.

Draghi a une opinion désastreuse des hommes politiques, il dit entre les lignes que les politiques sont des démagogues, qui ne pensent qu’à leur réelection, qui ne voient pas plus loin que l’horizon de la prochaine élection ; qui sont prêts à tout promettre et à tout donner, ils sont incompétents, et en plus, malhonnêtes (ils se renient) .

Maintenant le pouvoir monétaire est aux mains de gens compétents comme Draghi. Mais n’est plus dans les mains de Français, ce qui veut dire que si le FN ou L’UPR, arrivaient au pouvoir, la France récupérerait le pouvoir monétaire, enfin la France ... MLP ou Asselineau, car à l’élection suivante on aurait peut-être le retour de la gauche au pouvoir, comme sous Mitterrand, ou de l’éxtrème gauche, qui sait ...
