Examination of SARS-CoV-2 In-Class Transmission at a Large Urban University With Public Health Mandates Using Epidemiological and Genomic Methodology

doi:10.1001/jamanetworkopen.2022.25430

Of more than 140 000 in-person class events and a total student population of 33 000 between graduate and undergraduate students, only 9 instances of potential in-class transmission were identified, accounting for 0.0045% of all classroom meetings.

Community transmission and viral load kinetics of the SARS-CoV-2 delta (B.1.617.2) variant in vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals in the UK : a prospective, longitudinal, cohort study

https://doi.org/10.1016/S1473-3099(21)00648-4

Fully vaccinated individuals with breakthrough infections have peak viral load similar to unvaccinated cases and can efficiently transmit infection in household settings, including to fully vaccinated contacts.

Et les avis des experts  :

"Our vaccines are working exceptionally well," Walensky told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. "They continue to work well for Delta, with regard to severe illness and death — they prevent it. But what they can’t do anymore is prevent transmission."

L’OMS : There is modest vaccine impact on transmission.
